Project
Digital menu boards
Objective
Enhance stadium image and encourage concession sales
Project Background
With static menu boards originally in place at these stadiums, changing prices and menu items was time consuming and expensive. The teams wanted a way to simplify this process and communicate concession items more efficiently. Both stadiums implemented digital menu boards to replace the static menus because of cost effectiveness, the ability to attract attention and the power to influence concession sales.
Solution
Each stadium uses VitalCAST to create dynamic digital menu boards that are conveniently managed from a central, on-site location. Using VitalCAST, screen content and prices can be changed and updated in near real time with flawless execution. The day-parting feature allows the team to automatically change menus at various times of the day or days of the week. In addition to encouraging impulse purchases at the register, VitalCAST digital menu boards also provide an avenue to enhance advertising sponsorships

Texas Digital’s content team worked cohesively with staff from both stadiums to develop an individualized content plan that coincided with the marketing efforts of each team. Eye-catching, animated content attracts the attention of customers and encourages impulse purchases at the register. Texas Digital incorporated food graphics, videos and pictures of players into the content design for the stadiums. Each concession area features two screens side by side, which creates room for a large menu with enough space for branding and promotional messaging. This combination of information is an effective way for stadium employees to cross-sell and up-sell the highest profit items.
Results and Impact
Using VitalCAST, stadiums are experiencing an easier way to manage menu boards and are increasing profits through concession sales lift. With VitalCAST, the facilities can now better serve their customers due to clearer communication of their menu items.
“We love the flexibility and efficiency of VitalCAST. The digital menu boards have enhanced our overall image and have been a great investment for the facility” says Willie Jimenez, General Manager of Sodexo at The Dell Diamond.
