The Challenges

Oakwood Custom Homes is a leading builder of affordable luxury homes with its office located along Highway 6 in College Station, Texas. Oakwood needed to attract the attention of drivers on both sides of the highway in a new, dynamic way. Since Oakwood Custom Homes is located close to a competitor's office, the company also wanted to use the display as a differentiator by showing dynamic, eye-catching digital signage as opposed to the static signage used by its competitor.

The Solution

Texas Digital engineered a two-sided, full-color outdoor LED display that is fully visible to motorists passing Oakwood Custom Homes. Oakwood uses Sigma software provided by Texas Digital to easily control the messaging on the display. In an effort to reduce Oakwood's costs, Texas Digital built the display onto an already existing roadside sign. In addition to full color messaging, the new display shows the current time and temperature and includes an auto dimming function to promote energy efficiency during non-peak hours. The display consists of several 1-foot by 1-foot modules that are front-serviceable which allows for easy access, serviceability and replacement.

The Results
