The Challenges

Premiere Cinemas is one of the largest independent theatre circuits in the United States. The Greenspoint Premiere location in Houston, Texas was an older theatre that needed to be remodeled. The owner, Gary Moore wanted to make the theatre stand out and attract more customers. When planning the renovation of the theatre, Mr. Moore realized that offering state of the art technology provided by Texas Digital would help him achieve his goals.

 The Solution

Texas Digital provided several types of digital signage throughout the theatre to help Premiere achieve its desired look. An outdoor LED display attracts customers to the theatre and displays information such as movie titles, show times and important theatre information. LCD displays in the box office interface with the theatre’s POS (Point Of Sales) to automatically display movie titles, show times, ratings and more. Digital menu boards at each of the concessions are used to enhance the customers’ experience, increase concession cross-sales, save time and money and reduce paper waste by updating menus electronically. LED displays at the entrance of each auditorium, also tied to the POS, show the movie title and time. Using Texas Digital’s VitalCAST and CineVIEW software, all of these displays are controlled using a single, easy to use software interface.

 The Results

Premiere Cinemas is a company that embraces the latest technology. Recently, the company upgraded to 100% digital projection for all theatres, accompanied by installing the newest digital signage technology both inside and outside this particular theatre. The new outdoor LED is used to attract customers to the theatre while also updating them with pertinent information. The flexibility of the digital signage installed makes it easy to deliver fresh, eye-catching content that communicates pricing, delivers show times and theatre information and motivates customers. Texas Digital provided a compact solution that met all of the needs of the Greenspoint Premiere Cinemas.
