Texas Digital Completes Digital Signage at Reliant Stadium
(November 17, 2008) College Station, TX - Texas Digital Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in digital signage technology, announced today that its VitalCAST™ digital signage solution has been installed at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Reliant Stadium, the first NFL stadium with a retractable roof, is home to the Houston Texans and also hosts numerous college football games, concerts, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and many more events. Concessions are handled by Aramark throughout the stadium, including the prestigious Club Level. Being on the cutting edge of stadium development, Reliant and Aramark chose Texas Digital’s VitalCAST digital signage solution for its Club Level concessions area to enhance the guest experience and augment their static menu boards.
The Club Level installation included twelve 42” LCD displays in three separate concession locations. Powered by Texas Digital’s VitalCAST software, each display is divided into three panels, showing the football game via an in-house television feed, an RSS feed sports ticker and promotions and advertisements for concession items.
John Yeager, Director of Restaurants at the Club Level for Aramark said "Our VitalCAST system is incredibly user-friendly. Changes and corrections to our static POP cannot be made during normal business hours. However, using VitalCAST, I can make changes or add new promotions and implement those changes within minutes without missing a beat.” John further stated that his client, the Houston Texans, are very happy with the system at Reliant Stadium and have stated that perceived wait times in the concessions area are significantly lower.
“VitalCAST’s split screen design capabilities allows concessionaires such as Aramark to take maximum advantage of each screen’s real estate,” explains Dennis Davidson, president and CEO of Texas Digital. “Delivering a fresh, eye-catching advertising message alongside television or other targeted information keeps viewers engaged and increases their average purchase.”
