Texas Digital Installs VitalCAST Digital Signage at Orange, Texas, Bank
TEXAS DIGITAL INSTALLS VITALCAST DIGITAL SIGNAGE AT ORANGE, TEXAS, BANK
Orange Savings Bank Implements Digital Signage to Improve Customer Communication
(December 12, 2005) College Station, Texas – Texas Digital Systems, Inc., a global provider of real-time visual communication solutions, successfully installed its VitalCAST Digital Communication solution at Orange Savings Bank in Orange, Texas.
The VitalCAST solution takes advantage of large-format video displays such as plasma, LCD and projector units to deliver information in a rich, multi-media format . VitalCAST's easy-to-use Content Manager allows the bank to quickly update media files, design display layouts, create playlists and schedule content without IT assistance. The system is compatible with a wide variety of picture, video and Web content along with other applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Cable and satellite TV feeds are also supported.
Orange Savings Bank had been using printed posters and banners in the lobby area to market bank services to customers. In an effort to free up lobby space and draw more attention to messages, VitalCAST was installed on a 42” plasma screen over the teller area in the lobby. Leveraging existing marketing messages and photos, the bank now displays bank products and special offers on one half of the screen while broadcasting a rotating schedule of cable television news channels on the other half. A scrolling message is also presented across the bottom of the entire display.
“We know that our customers are reading the ads and VitalCAST works for cross-selling,” said Nancy Vincent, Senior Vice President at Orange Savings Bank. “The first promotion we ran was for a special CD rate, which was only promoted in the lobby. Even after the promotion ended we still get inquiries from customers who saw the promotion on the lobby screen.”
Dennis Davidson, Texas Digital’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, said, “As bank customers become more media-savvy, cutting-edge technology becomes necessary to hold their interest. VitalCAST’s rich media grabs their attention and gets the message across in a very appealing manner.”
